Operate safely
Risk management
Size for the worst case, set caps, and know the emergency procedure.
Automation runs your rules exactly, including the ones that are a mistake. Trade only capital you can afford to lose.
Before you go live
- Size for the worst case: base order + every DCA level, times the number of deals you allow at once. The bot form's % of balance used · if every DCA fills shows it.
- Set caps: Max longs, Max shorts and Max both · total open deals on each bot, then Accounts → Market limits (Max deals, Max long, Max short, Margin used). Blank or 0 means no cap.
- Decide on a stop loss and check it against your ladder. A stop inside the ladder means the deep levels never fill.
- Keep leverage moderate. On isolated margin only the position's margin backs it; at 10× a move of roughly 10% can liquidate it. On cross margin the whole account backs it. Choose the margin mode on the exchange deliberately.
- Use API keys with trade permission only, never withdrawals.
Controls the app gives you
- Entry filters (block new entries only): Volatility, Min 24h rolling volume, Max 24h Volume, Match funding direction, Leverage floor, Blacklist · this bot, Universal blacklist · all accounts.
- Cooldown after Stop Loss: Pair Cooldown and Bot Cooldown in minutes.
- Ladder SL on a TP ladder: moves a stop behind the remaining position once profit is banked.
- Large size review: Save pauses when entry and first DCA differ by 3× or more.
- Hedge Bot: Max w/o stop, Safe zone %, Min tranche % main, Never attach to.
- Fail-closed data: stale or missing prices, candles or balance refuse new entries. Protection and exits continue.
If the app or server stops
Orders resting on the exchange (take profits, most stops, DCA limits) keep working. App-held items (timed DCAs, app-watched exits, stops without a free exchange slot) do not. Check the Terminal's solid vs dashed lines before maintenance. Stopping the app or removing an account closes nothing.
Emergency procedure
- ⏸ Pause the bots to stop new entries.
- Check positions and orders on the exchange, the source of truth.
- Close or cancel there only after you understand the effect.
- Send a bug report from the app (Contact Support).
- Resume only once you understand the cause.
Risks the app cannot remove
Liquidation before a stop fills, slippage on market closes, fees and funding (on both legs of a hedge), exchange outages and API errors, and server restarts. Past or simulated results do not predict live results.
